The highly stable and supple carrier film guarantees a high degree of protection from mechanical damage. BUTYLEN Tape AS 40 Plus will amalgamate in the overlap area and between the individual wrapping layers.

A sleeve-like, mechanically very resistant and stable coating is the result, practically impermeable to water vapor and oxygen. The thick gray butyl adhesive layer and the supple carrier film mean that the tape conforms particularly well to the structure of the underlying layer (e.g. welding beads and the edges of factory coatings.
