Product Description
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Coolant for electrical and electronic use. CRC Minus 50 is a non-flammable, inert dry coolant spray for maintenance, trouble shooting and repair. Used to cool down parts and components to temperatures below 0C to a minimum of -50C; the tracking of intermittent faults, the detection of hairline cracks, and the locating of defective components becomes easier.
2. FEATURES
Protects heat sensitive components from high temperatures during soldering and desoldering.
Facilitates precision fitting of metal parts : a short spray will shrink one part so a slip fit becomes possible.
Saves maintenance cost and downtime.
Non-flammable and inert.
No chemical attack of components.
Evaporates completely, leaving no residue.
Invaluable for testing thermostats and all systems responding to temperature changes.
3. APPLICATIONS
Testing of thermometers and thermostats.
Locating defective electrical parts.
Finding faulty connectors ...
Locating defective diodes , transistors ...
Shrink fitting / removal of bushes, bearings, spindles ...
Assembly / disassembly of tolerance equipment.
Checking of transistor ignition systems.
Trimming / machining of rubber bushes ...
Removal of chewing gum, adhesives, sweets ... from fabrics, curtains, carpets, chairs, etc (spray until gum is brittle and then break away).
Pre-cooling dental instruments.
4. DIRECTIONS
Let suspect circuit heat-up, spray one component at a time. Spraying of faulty component will give instantaneous change of output.
Hairline cracks in PC will be exposed by frosting up the copper circuitry.
Use extension tube for precise aiming and hard to reach areas.
A safety data sheet (MSDS) according EU directive 93/112 is available for all CRC products.
Note :
with sensitive or stressed plastic parts, the thermal stress induced by strong local cooling must be considered.

Efficient Cooling for Technical ApplicationsCRC MINUS 50 Spray is engineered for rapid temperature reduction, making it invaluable for tasks like fault detection, electronics repairs, and instant cooling when precise control is essential. Its colorless, odorless formulation is compatible with a wide range of surfaces, including sensitive electronic components, metals, and plastics, supporting versatile industrial and laboratory use.
User-Friendly Aerosol DesignThe products pressurized aerosol can comes equipped with a precision spray nozzle and extension tube for targeted application. This allows technicians to cool specific areas swiftly and reduce waste or exposure in confined repair spaces. The transparent spray leaves no residue and ensures simple visual inspections post-application.
FAQs of CRC MINUS 50 Spray:
Q: How should CRC MINUS 50 Spray be applied to a component?
A: CRC MINUS 50 should be sprayed directly onto the area needing rapid cooling, using the extension tube for precise targeting. Hold the can upright and spray in short bursts to avoid excessive frost buildup or condensation.
Q: What is the primary benefit of using CRC MINUS 50 in electronic repairs?
A: The main advantage is its capability to instantly cool components, enabling technicians to quickly identify faults such as thermal failures or intermittent malfunctions without leaving residue or causing corrosion.
Q: When should I use CRC MINUS 50 Spray in industrial or electronics settings?
A: Use CRC MINUS 50 when immediate temperature reduction is required, such as during fault detection, diagnosing heat-sensitive issues, or for shrink fitting components that must contract into place.
Q: Where can CRC MINUS 50 Spray be safely applied?
A: The spray can be used on metals, plastics, ceramics, and electronic parts. It is suitable for circuit boards, connectors, sensors, and other temperature-sensitive devices, but avoid spraying on energized equipment.
Q: What is the shelf life and proper storage for CRC MINUS 50 Spray?
A: CRC MINUS 50 has an unopened shelf life of 24 months. Store the aerosol can in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat, to maintain performance and safety.
Q: What precautions should be taken during use?
A: Always ensure ventilation during use, avoid prolonged or direct skin contact with the spray, and do not expose the can to temperatures above 50C. Never puncture or burn the can, even when empty.
Q: How does the precision nozzle and extension tube improve usage?
A: The precision spray nozzle and extension tube allow controlled, localized application, which is critical for cooling delicate electronics and hard-to-reach areas while minimizing unnecessary exposure.
